Dr. Lyle Nelson is a native to the Pacific Northwest and Clark County. He obtained his dental degree from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1983, graduating with honors.  His education continued with a one-year oral surgery fellowship at Emory University in Atlanta, GA.  From there, he attended the University of Nebraska Medical School, where he earned his MD degree in 1987.  He completed his residency in oral and facial surgery in 1989.  Dr. Nelson then returned to his hometown of Vancouver, WA to begin private practice.   In 1991, he obtained his Board Certification and maintains his status as a Diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. 

He and his wife, Debbie, live just outside Vancouver on a small cattle ranch in Washougal, WA.  They have two children, three grandchildren, three golden retrievers, and several adopted cats. 

When time permits, Dr. Nelson enjoys fishing.
