Background Information 

Oral and maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital based surgical and anesthesia training.  Dr. Nelson has a dental license as well as a medical license.  As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, the doctor manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions with particular emphasis on dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, extractions, and pathology.

The surgical staff is trained in assisting with I.V. anesthesia within our state of the art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery by a trained registered nurse (RN), who is CPR and ACLS certified.  All staff are informed administrative personnel, well-versed in health and insurance policies and are CPR certified.
